Slow Food Ark of Taste Dinner
June 23rd 5-9pm
MUSC Urban Farm 29 Bee St
Join us for an evening of learning, connecting, and savoring our supper as we connect with Slow Food in support of the Lemon Cling Project! On June 23rd, from 5-9 PM, Chef Robin will be preparing a delicious menu alongside our friends at Obstinate Daughter and Henrietta’s to celebrate the Ark of Taste and a bit of food history.
The Ark of Taste is recognized as a living catalog of heirloom and ancient varietals at risk of extinction. Ticket sales from the Sunday Supper go towards the rehabilitation of the near extinct Lemon Cling Peach, a varietal with a deep rooted history in Southern culture. The Lemon Cling originated in South Carolina, making a name for itself as the preferred peach for canning.
With your help, a 30 tree Lemon Cling Orchard will be planted at Geechie Boy Farms on Edisto. Don’t miss out on this truly incredible event at the MUSC Urban Farm.
